Our One Year Anniversary!

Nick and I spent our first anniversary in the town of Galena. Nick used to come here as a child with his grandma and grandpa Denny and when he brought me here for the first time last summer I fell in love with it! We arrived yesterday morning and checked in to our suite which was right on Main Street above one of the many unique little shops that the town has to offer. Then we went to have lunch and wondered around shopping the rest of the afternoon. Lorelei was such a good baby girl for us. She didn't fuss the whole weekend and allowed us to even share a nice dinner that night at "Fried Green Tomatoes". It was really nice to sit and relax and enjoy a hot meal that was prepared by someone else!!! We got up Sunday morning before the rest of the town did and went to have a coffee and a walk. After brunch we decided to go by the Mississippi river and then make our way back home. The drive is really beautiful and it made us realize what a great weekend we had and how we have a lot to be greatful for this anniversary.
